I made this due to one of my fellow artists on Twitter made her avatar in a similar fashion. I loved it so much I wanted my avatar in a similar pose. Why do I love this face so much?
I guess there's just something cathartic about it. Society generally asks us to keep our emotions in check, particularly men. So maybe it just feels good to use art to depict raw emotions. And this is unfettered emotion right here. I think there's always a bit of catharsis in every form of the art that let's the artist vent out whatever frustration, hopelessness, or sadness they may be feeling while making that art.
