Comic Action

This guy has seen better days....

More panel practice for me. This is me wanting to practice some comic action. In particular, wanting to show action in a single image. I used precise, careful pen strokes on the first panel to convey stillness, while making use of quick, messy strokes in the second panel. I think it worked pretty well for the eyes to show the sudden panic the guy felt in the second panel. But as I'm typing this, the lines on the knife look a little too clean. I hope this site will let you guys enlarge the image so you can see the scratchier lines on it better. I love charcoal as a shading tool. It just gives what's happening a great ambience.
